José María Alonso Alonso de Linaje is a native of Burgos, Spain. He graduated from the University of Valladolid  with a degree in education, a field in which he has dedicated most of his professional life.

 

He is a Renaissance man: author, educator, musician and gentleman farmer.

​

He took up post-graduate studies in adult education at the University of the Basque Country as well as the University of Barcelona. With a music degree from Complutense University and with a background in Gregorian music which he pursued at Silos National Center, he studied and taught music therapy.

 

He worked as a social science professor for many years and crafted assessment exams for the Department of  Education of the Basque government. He was active in pushing for distant learning in the Basque Country for adult learners who included new immigrants. He developed and wrote learning modules to train new professors at public schools.

 

To date, he has published a total of 52 books and articles for various journals and magazines in Spain.
